Our Founders

Cristen Recker -Just a year ago, I was only starting to realize how little I knew about politics, in general. A year ago, I was still apathetic about most issues, and when questioned, I would have just nodded my head most times and pretended like I knew what you were talking about.

I can't say for sure what happened in the last year that was directly responsible for my change of attitude, aside from a lot of personal growth... But several things have happened that I believe contributed. 1. A new President. 2. I decided to home school my children. 3. I attended a CHEC Conference seminar about the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child - presented by the Home School Legal Defense Association. 4. I realized this was only one issue of a multitude that I had no clue about, and that could directly impact ME and MY FAMILY, and my POSTERITY!

The issues impact us, directly and indirectly: new administration, new legislation, and old! These things impact our day-to-day lives more than most of us would guess. And now that I am starting to LOOK, actively LOOK.. I can SEE... I was naive, optimistic, and blind... And now... I might be a little less naive and a little less blind, though I still proclaim optimism! And I want to continue to improve. Every day. I want to learn, get involved, and grow in my community... So that I can help others who are like me... and learn from others who have the wisdom of experience, education, and understanding!

The others- Several very supportive family members and friends have helped bring the ideas behind Ladies for Liberty and the organization to life! This would not have happened without their encouragement, support, and helpful, inspired ideas! Thank you! And thank you to the members of Ladies for Liberty, as well! Your passion for the movement is a constant motivation to me!
