What to expect at your County assemblies…
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
If you are a delegate or an alternate and you have not received an Official Call to Assembly from your precinct, please contact your County Party Leader or District Captain.
If possible, please carpool and arrive early to ensure your parking space!
CHECK IN BEFORE the time the assembly is supposed to start - the volunteers will need to have all credentials in order for voting to begin! So GET THERE A LITTLE EARLY!
The purposes of this meeting are as follows:
1. Designation of the order of one or more Republican/Democratic candidates for:
-County Clerk & Recorder
-County Treasurer
-County Assessor
-County Sheriff
-County Coroner
-County Commissioner Districts
-State House of Representatives Districts
to appear on the Primary Election ballots for nomination in August.
2. Selection of the District Assembly Vacancy Committees.
3. Such other business as shall properly come before the Assemblies
This could include:
* Candidates or spokespeople on behalf of candidates speaking to the assemblies
* Other guest speakers in regards to petitions, legislation, etc.
In compliance with the aforementioned laws and rules, all delegates and alternates elected to the County Assembly shall be delegates and alternates to the State House and County Commissioner Districts if the delegate or alternate resides in a single county district. Delegates and alternates that reside in multi-county districts must have been elected to the multi-county district as a delegate or alternate at their precinct caucus and should refer to a separate call to that multi-county district.
