The Responsibility of EVERY CITIZEN
This morning on KLUV, the DJs were having their fall pledge drive. The speaker said: “When someone needs help and one person hears him/her, that one person will come to the rescue. When someone needs help and 100 people hear him/her, most of the 100 will think, 'someone else will help them, someone else will take care of it, and it’s not MY responsibility'".
But think of the good 100 people could do for someone or some cause if every single one of them said, "It IS my responsibility, I can help, I want to help, I can make a change."
If someone calls out for help, for change... there is no need for a leader to say, "let us all contribute" there is only every single individual making the choice about whether or not they CAN contribute, and then ACTING on their choice.

Action requires courage, and courage is often hard to come by... But Scripture (see below) talks about running TOWARD our fears... Taking action means confronting those fears and stepping out of our comfort zones. Silence is a comfort zone, INACTION is a comfort zone... Speak Without Fear & Question Boldly!
Speaking out is not just a RIGHT, it is the RESPONSIBILITY of EVERY citizen in our blessed Country!
Stay informed - HEAR the calls to action, the call for help. Understand the meaning beneath the words of the media; and SEARCH for TRUTH amongst the misdirection.
Become a leader if you feel called; SPEAK UP so that others can be reminded of their responsibility and can see that people are willing to contribute and take action!
Do not be intimidated or discouraged... it is a powerful thing you are doing... Taking Action...
